From the hall a grand staircase in travertine marble leads to a gallery landing on the first floor. From this landing there are four large double bedrooms, all with fabulous en-suite bathrooms.

Another flight of stairs to the second floor leads to a large library/study with satellite TV and DVD. On this floor there are three more double bedrooms, all with luxury en-suite bathrooms.

In every room there are many original antiques and fine fabrics. Exquisite décor and attention to detail has resulted in a unique and quite splendid property.

Outside Facilities
The villa occupies a dominating position above the delightful small town of Cetona. This is one of the lovliest and best known hamlets in the entire region, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside and overlooking the Chiana Valley. Of the original three towers, today only the principal one remains, forming the central part of this 17th century Villa. The entire environment gives a feeling of tranquility and past splendour.

When entering through the gates there is an arcade-like driveway leading to an Amphitheatre with various stairways to the house and garden. The delightful swimming pool is made from travertine stones from an ancient Roman bridge. Amidst the park-like gardens there is a profusion of flowering plants, olive groves, and great trees, all creating an extraordinarily tranquil atmosphere. Once in the grounds of the Villa, the town is out of sight and the views are of stunning countryside.

There is a resident caretaker who lives independently in one of the apartments by the main entrance.

Local Area
Of particular interest are the convent of San Francesco, the Belvedere grotto, and the civic museum in Cetona. From here it is easy to visit wonderful towns such as Chuisi, Chianciano, San Gimignano, San Casciano, Siena, Montepulciano or Orvieto. This area is famous for many Tuscan Gourmet restaurants.

Directions
If flying, the nearest airports are Perugia, Florence and Rome. La Rocca is located about 50 kilometres from Perugia, 120 kilometres from Florence and a similar distance from Rome. The Villa is accessed by walking through narrow alleys from the main square of the town of Cetona. Only small cars can negotiate these lanes. A small car, with a driver, is available for the transport of luggage to the Villa from public car parks in the town. This vehicle with driver is also available at an extra cost on a daily basis should clients require assistance to and from the town.
