The main house offers a large living/dining area facing the Lily Pond and the sea.
The elegant bedrooms are immense; they are all air-conditioned and feature unique antique romantic four poster beds, giving a feeling of relaxed grandeur. All rooms have spacious shaded verandas for private dining, and antique Indian swings, which overlook the verdant gardens and have views of the sparkling blue Indian ocean. The furniture is a combination of antique pieces and contemporary items based on furniture as used by the members of the East India Company.
The highly decorated antique Calcutta four-poster beds were used during the British Raj and these, together with the antique electric fans and ceiling fixed punkah fans, enhance the Colonial style.

The Reef is set in three acres of tropical gardens with lily ponds, exotic flowers, trees and coconut trees. There are antique swings to relax on, and hammocks in the garden.
There is a dining pavilion next to the swimming pool, so dining can either be alfresco or in the main house.
There is an all-weather tennis court, and also table tennis. There are sun loungers, garden pavilions, barbecue ( chef manned!) There is parking if required, and driver's accommodation. There is a 150 Kva generator for complete back up. All water is treated on-site, and potable. There is a small on-site laundry. |

The Reef is fully staffed with pool boy, laundry boy, chef and kitchen staff, security, housekeeper, and gardeners. Shopping trips can be arranged to Colombo.
Local Area
There is a very small town ten minutes walk away. The fort town of Galle is about two hours away.
